I have designed this site to accompany History 361, a Survey of Modern Latin America, by providing the student with visual and audio material about the region under study. Like the course, the material concentrates on three countries--Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina. I do not intend this to supplant the course readings, but rather to supplement them. In addition I have included links to material on contemporary events. This site is divided into three time periods for each of the three countries. You may learn more about any of the periods by clicking on it in the timeline below. This way, you may follow one country throughout the periods, compare countries during a given period, or navigate however you choose. To see more general information about the countries themselves, click on the name buttons above. If at any time you want to return to this page or to the Emory University homepage, click on the appropriate name in the top bar of any page.
